The AIMA Executive team would like to announce a new monthly meeting open to the whole of AIMA membership! These AHOY meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of every month via Zoom starting 9th February.
The 2020/21 Annual Report for Heritage Victoria's Maritime Heritage at Risk Program includes details on conservation at the Amazon wreck, the monitoring of fourteen shipwrecks located in State and Commonwealth waters and inspections conducted at five wreck sites.
In September 2021, Heritage Victoria introduced the Shipwreck Discovery Program aimed at encouraging and simplifying the reporting of shipwreck discoveries and to assist the search for Victoria’s top 20 most important missing shipwrecks.

On 24 February 2021 Heritage Victoria will launch our new website. The user-friendly, accessible site explains our role and how you can be a good custodian for heritage.
We are looking for enthusiastic people who have existing diving experience and would like to learn new underwater archaeological skills. No prior archaeology experience is necessary, however, existing skill sets in underwater photography, underwater survey methods and underwater detailed drawing will be highly welcome.
